Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Contact Form Suddenly Stops Working

Hi,

When we first installed Contact Enhanced, we tested it on multiple web browsers and everything worked smoothly. That was a couple of months ago.

A customer notified us yesterday that they had sent us a message through our contact form, but they hadn't heard back from us. We'd never received the message!

We just tried testing it, and now it doesn't appear to be working. The webpage refreshes, but nothing gets sent (we have it set to automatically send a copy to the customer - but they receive nothing either.)

Can any of you figure out what is going wrong? Feel free to send test emails through it if you'd like. You'll have our eternal gratitude if you can figure out what the issue is.

Dear Flynn,

Are you using SMTP for the mailer? Most of the problems can be solved by using a SMTP in the mailer.

Please read this article, specially item #5:

Also, your template does not seem to have the System Message configured. Please ask your template developer to fix this for you. If you have to do this yourself, then read this:

Hi,

Thank you for the suggestions. We did steps 5 and 6, but it still doesn't seem to be working. We checked our CPanel and Email Authentication is disabled. We then changed our Mailer to SMTP (from PHP mail) but that didn't fix the problem.

We're hosted through Rochen, so we tried step 6 (changing the email sender to contact) with both SMTP and PHP Mail, but neither one sent. Any more ideas?

Dear Flynn,

Please try to use enabled authentication even if your server does not require it.

Can you check if Joomla core contact is working? If it is not working either, than it is a mailer related problem. Most of the time is a mis-configuration because each server might have a different requirement.
