Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

securimage fails to install

10 years 10 months ago #14679 by marcelo-osorio
When installing on Joomla 3.0, it gives the following message:

DateTime::__construct() [datetime.--construct]: Failed to parse time string (jerror) at position 0 (j): The timezone could not be found in the database

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Dear Marcelo,

That's very very strange because there is no such function in SecurImage plugin. I have just searched the source code for DateTime just to make sure and it is not found anywhere.

Can you install other extensions?

Best regards,

Yes, interesting. I am able to properly install components and modules. I get this error only when attempting to install Plugins I found out. I read in the following link that this is due to a Joomla path error in folder.php file.

sos82.net/coding/8-joomla-3-0-...etime-while-create-folder.html

I did not try their suggestion as I could not find the mentioned file. Nonetheless, Even though I have all the recommended folders permissions set to "777", I decided to enable the FTP layer and try that way. Installation was successful this time. I did get an "Warning; Failed to move file", but the plugin is working fine. It seems to me it is Joomla bug or something. ??

Thanks for your response though.

-Marcelo

Dear Marcelo,

I'm not sure what is causing this. Can you try to upgrade to the latest Joomla 3.1?

Best regards,

Dear Marcelo,

If this is a Joomla issue there is not much I can do, but you can try to report the issue. Please read this article in order to know how to file a bug:
