Mailto2CE Plugin

Hi,

We are upgrading our site from Joomla 1.5.4 to Joomla 1.7.2. We are doing the development work on a test site and will move the site to our live site once we having everything working properly. I want to stress that we have installed Contact Enhanced Full package for Joomla 1.7 and plugins on this test site.

We are having a problem with the Mailto2CE Plugin. The plugin works properly in our Joomla 1.7.2 test site when we have a mailto link in an article. However, we also have email links from within our Hikashop shopping cart component. The email links come from a language file from within Hikashop.

These links is are created from the following line in the Hikashop language file:

PRICE=" <a href="myemail@mydomain.com">Contact us for pricing</a>"

Instead of the Mailto2CE modal window opening with the contact form when the link is clicked from within Hikashop, the link activates my local email program and reveals the contact email.

I also want to mention that I have been using Contact Enhanced and the Mailto2CE Pugin on both our Joomla 1.5.24 test site and our live site without problems.

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Is your test site on a live server?
Can we take a look?

It might be a conflict with the Hikashop plugins or with the caching plugin, it also might have something to do with the plugin ordering, can you change the ordering around to see if it will work?
Order the debug plugin to load at the last position, this way it will cache the page after all other plugins have done their "magic";

Our site is on a localhost. We plan to move it to a live site once we have everything working properly and all our content loaded.

I tried re-ordering the plugins and ordered the debug plugin to load last. This has not solved my problem. Clicking links in Hikashop that use the Hikashop language file still cause my regular email program to open, instead of a modal window with the Mailto2CE form opeing.

Did you clear all caches (Joomla, template and browser)?
I've just configured a HIkaShop Category menu item and tested Mailto2CE and it worked correctly.

If I don't have access to the back-end it will be difficult to debug.
