Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Joomla Language Control dosn't work in MooFAQ menutype

10 years 8 months ago - 10 years 8 months ago #15310 by claudia
System: Joomla 2.5.14 configured in two languages (Englisch and German).
Language is implemented in the native Joomla system without any additonal extensions.

Menu: The Menu items Type is MooFAQ Categories (one meue in language English and one menue in German).

Articles are either in one of the languages or have "All" (all the untransleted ones, which should be used for the both menues)

It should be possible to get all the "English" and with "All" marked articles only in the English menu and all the "German" and with "All" marked articles only in the German menu.

But independently from the language are all articles of one category shown in the MooFAQ Slider (also the english article in the german menutype).

Dear Claudia,

I'm investigating this issue.
Did you change the category language as well?

Best regards,

Dear Claudia,

I have just tested again and it worked correctly.

What I've done:
All articles have the language set to ALL, so I changed the site language to German and changed the Language in the article to English, as a result the article has disappeared when I reloaded the page.

It might be a cache issue. Did you clear all caches (browser and Joomla)?

Best wishes,
