Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

FAQ Problems

Sorry, new to Joomla - trying to get your FAQ to work. Here are some questions.
Is this all the documentation available?
* After default component instalation Create a menu item for the MooFAQ component;
* All the configuration is set at the menu configuration page;
* You have to set a Joomla!™ content category for your FAQ's; the Title = Question and introText = Answer
* You can set as many question as you wish
2nd - Can get a link to a category item but where is the "IntroText"? Do I really have to create new category records or something to enter FAQs?
3rd - Am I wrong, or is this pretty convoluted? Why can't people just make a component that let's then enter their faqs one after another and manage the attributes? Seems like Joomla is pretty frickin disfunctional if people can't build some as straight forward as you can in CMSs like DNN? Hopefully I just don't get how this works but Joomla is pretty unintuitive it seems to me. But I've only been a developer for 30 years. Anyway clue me in to this would you please.

Dear Paul,

1- There is also some images to help to understand how it works:
ideal.fok.com.br/joomla/extens...ly-asked-questions.html#images
2- You can use your existing content; When you create a menu just choose a category to see how it works;
3- Joomla is very intuitive, at least I think so. The purpose of MooFAQ is to be easy to use. Most Joomla users are already used to enter articles (content), so it makes it easier for them if we use the same interface to enter FAQ items; Also, because MooFAQ uses the Joomla Articles it is compatible with most Plugins written for articles (content component);

I'll try to add more intuitive documentation later today.

If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Best regards,
