Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Dear Izon90,

MooFAQ uses MooTools to display the effects;
MooTools is the Joomla default javascript library, therefore most templates use MooTools for their fancy things such as menus and slideshows; Your template or other extensions (modules, plugins, components) shouldn't use another javascript library other than MooTools, however if it does use another library such as JQuery it might be incompatible with many MooTools based scripts;

Solution:
Disable the extension that is loading this other javascript library. In your case the superfishmenu and maybe the 2j_tabs plugin.

Advice:
Always choose extensions that are 100% compatible with Joomla Framework;

Best regards,

Dear Izon90,

I've just tested again and both slider types work in IE6. So there is probably a javascript incompatibility with a script in your site.

Every browser use a different javascript engine, that's the reason why in some old browsers, such as IE6, you might get javascript incompatibilities.

Can you provide a URL so I can take a look at?

Dear Izon90,

You have a lot of Javascript there.

MooTools is the Joomla default javascript library, therefore most templates use MooTools for their fancy things such as menus and slideshows; Your template or other extensions (modules, plugins, components) shouldn't use another javascript library other than MooTools, however if it does use another library such as JQuery it might be incompatible with many MooTools based scripts; MooFAQ uses MooTools for the accordion effect;

Possible solution:
Disable the extension that is loading this other javascript library or another javascript.
For testing reasons disable the 2j_tabs plugin and the superfish menu.

Advice:
Always choose extensions that are 100% compatible with Joomla Framework;

Dear izon90,

I noticed that you are using a JoomlArt template and JA templates usually comes a bult-in feature for the menu called Succkerfish or MooMenu.
MooMenu, for instance, only requires MooTools which is already loaded by Joomla, so you don't need an extra javascript library like JQuery.

Thanks for pointing out for me. I did use MooMenu on top menu bar, It's better than superfish.
