Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Issues with apple devices

7 years 8 months ago #21986 by FenderFalcon
I'm having issues with the google maps section not showing up on an iphone or ipad. It says it cannot load google maps and to check the javascript console (which is not easy on those devices). It works on everything else. has anyone else found this issue and/or a solution?

I'm running Joomla 3.6.2 ideal store locator 3.6 at gonefishingday.org/index.php/MapTest

It appears to work on iphone 5 but not iphone 6 and it doesn't work on either ipad mini's I have.

Dear FenderFalcon,

There are 24 "Mixed Content" errors on your site and that might be the reason, but enabling the Web Inspector Tool in Safari will be easier to understand what's causing this error:
developer.apple.com/safari/tools/

To enable the Debug Console in Safari, follow these instructions.

1 - Tap the Settings icon on the iPhone or iPad desktop.
The Settings screen opens.

2- Tap to choose Safari from the list of software available on your device.
The Safari Settings screen opens.

3- Scroll to the bottom of the screen and then tap Developer.
The Developer screen appears.

4- Touch the On button to activate the Debug Console.
After the Debug Console is enabled, Safari reports any errors it encounters when accessing a website. At the top of every web page, just under the address bar, the Debug Console reports any HTML, JavaScript, or CSS errors.
